Necessity Is The Mother Of Invention.

Mike Curry owned a capable 4×4 and thought he would never get stuck. Then a blizzard left him stranded in three feet of snow on top of a mountain in West Virginia. He called for a tow truck and was told it would be at least a week before anyone could reach him.

With four miles to safety, a 30-inch track board was never going to cut it. Nothing on the internet solved the problem either, because nothing like it existed yet.

Mike Curry

Mike wasn’t trying to start a company. He was trying to get down a mountain. But once he had a design that worked, he knew straight away it could get other people to safety too — and he went to work that same week.

He knew snow wasn’t the only hazard, so he developed TruckClaws to work in mud, ice and sand as well. Two years later it had patents, and not long after that, customers on every continent.
